I hope you are all havingawonderful summer break.Please take note of the followingimportant information:

First Day of School

- School starts @ 8:55 am

- Welcome Back Assembly in the Gym for all Students@ 9 am

- Dismissal for all Students @ 2:05pm

- Please ensure that your Child has a lunch

- KindergartenParents Meeting @ 6:30 pm in the Music Room

- All Kindergarten Parents should refer to the Gradual Entry Schedule provided by the Teachersfor thebeginning of Sept.(Please refer to the Package handed out at the MayMeeting)

  • The TAC Program (After School Care Club) begins @ 2:15 pm for the First Day (Please refer to Mrs. Ferrara`s email for details)

  • Full Day of School (School starts @ 8:55 am & ends @ 2:55 pm)
Thursday
Sept. 7

  • School Mass @ 9:15 am in the Church
  • All Sports Team notices will be distributed
Friday
Sept. 8

  • Professional Development Day (No Classes)This Curriculum Development Day will focus on Core Competences, Assessment and the Implementationof our New Technological Equipment.

*September 12– Holy Cross Annual Walk-a-thon Information Sheets will be sent home(Titan`s Walk-a-thon – Oct. 7)

*September 13– AnnualHoly Cross, "Meet the Teachers Night”

  • Gr. 7 Camp Information Meeting @ 6:30 pm for Gr.7 Parents in the Gr. 7 Class
  • Gr. 6 HPV Vaccine Information Meeting for Parents of Gr. 6 Girls @ 6:30 pm in the Gr. 6 Class
  • General Meeting @ 7 pm in the Gym for all Parents
  • Meet the Teachers Session # 1 @ 7:35 pm(In your Child`s Classroom)
  • Meet the Teachers Session # 1 repeated @ 8:05 pm for Parents with Children in other grades
  • Gr. 7 Band Program Presentation will be at 8:05pm in the Gym (*Please note that Gr. 7 willonly have one Meet the Teachers Session, in order to accommodate the other two Gr. 7 Presentations on that evening)


*September 17– HolyCross Annual Parish Salmon BBQ in the Afternoon (A great variety of food & beverages will be available & the Giant Bouncy Slide will be available at no cost for all Children) The event will take place on the School Grounds from2 to7 pm.


*September 20– Hot Lunch Program begins(Please note that this year, in an effort tocontinue tomake things more efficient for our Families& the Program, we have condensedour Lunches to Four consistent Menu Choices.We also have set-up a new on line orderingsystem,which you were all given an opportunity to preview at the end of June.More details will be forthcoming in the next few weeks)


**Please mark down the dates of our School Fundraisers this year (Annual Walk-a-thon on Friday, Oct. 6/ PSG Annual Parents "Oktoberfest”Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Oct. 28/Holy Cross Pub Night Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Feb. 3/ Holy Cross SchoolFamily Picnic on Sunday, May 27)**Please note the Holy Cross6thAnnual Parish Golf Tournamentwill be held on Friday, May 11.


**Please markdown the dates of our Vacation Breaks this year(Christmas Break starts @ Noon onDec. 22to Jan. 8, when School re-opens @ 8:55 am / Spring Break starts on Mar.9@ 5 pmto Mar. 26, when School re-opens @ 8:55am/Easter Weekend starts on Mar. 29@ Noonto Apr. 3, when School re-opens at 8:55 am/ Last Day of School on June 28)

**Please notethat GymStrip will be sold on Sept. 6, 7 & 15from 2:55 to 3:30pm.The Gym Strip will be sold on the Gym Stage. Please contact Diana Gaita @ 604-910-3372, if you have any further questions.


**Pleasenote thatthis year we arecontinuing to askall our Students, to bring home theentire contents of their Lunch Bagsat the end of each day.This initiative is in conjunction with the CISVA Theme for the year (Care ForEveryone InOur Common Home) and to increaseSchool-wideawareness of Recycling.


**Please look for an email forthcoming from our Walk-a-thon Committee requesting Prize Collectors and also please be aware that the Walk-a-thon Sign-up Sheets will be posted from Sept. 6 to11th,where our Students enter the School in the Morning.
